Three days, three hair colors! The recently out of rehab star has been using the wait between her clubbing every evening to change her hair colors. After a long spell as a brunette, Lohan went into the Neil George salon in Beverly Hills on Tuesday (March 6, 2007) and emerged with a strawberry blond look. However, the very next day she went back in and this time emerged as a full-on blond.

The media sparring between Dreamgirls star Jennifer Hudson and American Idol judge Simon Cowell, largely based on petty semantics, continues unabated.

While Cowell believes Hudson’s participation in American Idol 2004 was the big break that launched her career, Hudson believes the contest, where she was rejected and tipped for failure by Cowell, was a mere stepping stone to her Dreamgirls success.

“I’d say thank your lucky stars, you’ve had two breaks in your life, “American Idol” and Dreamgirls, doesn’t get any better than that,” Cowell recently said.

Cowell was miffed by Hudson’s failure to give due credit to her participation in American Idol while accepting the Best Supporting Actress Oscar this year.

He said, “Jennifer Hudson said American Idol was a ’stepping stone’ for her. Stepping stone? It was her big opportunity to become noticed and she got noticed and she got Dreamgirls.

“Singers like her deliberately turn against the show that made them successful. The reason (people) come on the show is because all the doors had been slammed in their face.”

The irrepressible Hudson has countered Cowell logic by comparing her experience on the talent show to working at Burger King.

“If I’d been any better at my job when I was at Burger King in my middle teens I wouldn’t be here either, so should I thank them too?”

Ashlee Simpson has denied she is dating record producer Chad Hugo – claiming their relationship is purely professional.

The pop star was spotted leaving a nightclub with Hugo, and is said to be dating him after previously being linked to actor Ryan Phillipe and Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz.

However, Simpson’s rep says of the report, “That is not true. She is working with Chad on her new album. There is nothing romantic going on.”

The girls were supposed to release the album rumored titled Point of No Return last year, where they even released the hit "Feelin' You" as the first single, but all the promotion was canceled due that two of the girls from the group were promoting the television movie, Cheetah Girls and didn't have time to focus in the album promo. Plus, I think the label wasn't happy with the album final result.

"Strictly Business" leaked, and it's most likely to be in the album - that hopefully will be released by summer time - and the title will change.

Ashlee Simpson, busy writing her next album, said fans should expect a more soulful sound. "I'm from Texas, I come from that background," she said. "It's cool because on my last two records I was writing with the same people and now I'm writing with a bunch of different people. I'm writing with my guitar player Ray [Brady] and just seeing where it goes." Simpson is eying an October release.

Britney Spears seems to be having trouble conforming to her rehab discipline and thumbs her nose at officials as she cuts an AA meeting before half time to go and sit in a car and smoke cigarettes.

Before the meeting in Malibu had reached its first break Britney and a helper along with four bodyguards are seen leaving the premises to go and sit out of sight in a nearby waiting SUV to smoke cigarettes and put her feet up.

A number of raised conversations were heard between Britney's camp and some officials from the meeting after the first half but she stayed in the SUV surrounded by her security before the meeting which also had Matthew Perry and Michael Bolton in attendance proceeded for another hour.

After the meeting had finished the rest of Britney's group returned to the car were Britney quickly appeared and seemed to rush them up before the car departed back to the Promises rehab center.

Things are about to go from bad to worse in the saga of Britney Spears. While the beleaguered pop princess is holed up in rehab, celebrity snipers are bidding on pictures of the fading star's bare behind.

The asking price for the shots - which show Britney playing dress-up with two dancers at New York's nightclub One February 12th - currently hovers at $150,000.

But even more damaging is video footage that may follow - Britney's dancer buddies are telling friends that the club let them go when management discovered a security video of them doing some serious partying with the mother of two.

"The manager said there was a tape of them," said our spy. "Both the girls cried about it when they got fired, but they didn't deny it."

A rep for the club told us the dancers were "absolutely not fired" and that there weren't any cameras in the area behind the coat check where Spears and her new friends went to change into fishnets and bikinis.

But our spy insisted, "Yes there are. There's a camera above the office back there that can see that whole room."

Said another source, "If that thing goes on the Internet, there's going to be big trouble. It might be what they need to take [Spears's] kids away from her."

Calls to Spears's rep and to one of the dancers were not returned.

The rules at Oprah Winfrey's ultra-posh school at Henley-on-Klip near Johannesburg are apparently so strict they make a reformatory look like a holiday resort. That's the word from upset parents, who say the school rules make it difficult for them to keep contact with their children.

They would have aired their concerns during a satellite link-up with the chat show queen a week ago, but that was canceled at short notice by the school's management body. Meanwhile the school seems to have made the rules even stricter. Until now, the girls could receive visitors every fortnight, but parents can now only visit them once a month.

Frances Mans, foster mother of Gweneth Mulder, said last week she would take her daughter out of the school if the rules were not changed. "Surely this isn't a prison?"

Cellphones and e-mail correspondence are out of bounds during the week, and girls are only allowed to phone their parents at weekends.

The maximum number of visitors per pupil is four, and visits have to be approved by the school at least two weeks in advance.

Mans said she had to wait at the security gate for half an hour to be signed in when she went to visit her daughter last Sunday. "It was a nightmare. We had only two hours to see my child. Surely this isn't a prison or an institution?"

The names of visitors must also match those on the security guards' list before guests are allowed in.

Parents are not allowed to smuggle junk food in to the girls past the matrons.

"Then the girls lose points," says Mans. The girls get points for "good behavior," which they can exchange at a school shop for clothes and caps. No treats allowed.

"The poor children are not even allowed to have any treats. Their diet is fruit, yogurt, and sandwiches. When they go on holiday for a month in April, they'll be stuffing themselves with sweets and chocolates in any case."

Angela Conradie, whose daughter Michelle is at the school, says she's just as upset about the strict visiting times. "Michelle phones me in tears sometimes, and then I don't know what to say to her," says Conradie.

John Samuels, the executive head of the school, confirmed that only one visit a month would be allowed in future. This means that if a girl has five siblings, she will only be able to see all of them over a period of three months. Samuels says he sees nothing wrong with the system. "We have the security and well-being of the girls at heart, in every respect. They are our priority. If there's too much movement on the premises at the weekend, it disturbs the school spirit."

Well it appears after having the date of her album pushed back by over a year and a half, Columbia Records is finally making plans to release Kelly Rowland’s sophomore effort on June 26th. The album is tentatively title Ms. Kelly and features collaborations with rappers Snoop Dogg and Eve. As you all know, Kelly’s first album was released in 2002 and only went gold. The album did, however, feature the hit single "Dilemma" with Nelly which garnered the two Grammy awards for Best Rap / Song Collaboration.

Since then, Kelly has seen Beyoncé release two solo albums, a Deluxe Edition album and Solange release and then re-release her debut album, Solo Star.

Here’s hoping Kelly’s album finally does see the light of day.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are lovey-dovey in public, but insiders say they've hit a rough patch in their marriage.

"There was a fight on New Year's Eve," said a source who saw Lopez that night.

Another spy said, "There was a fight after she performed at the Super Bowl, and when she had an album-listening party in Miami two months ago, there was an issue."

According to this source, Lopez stood up and talked about her upcoming album and said, "This is my dream and Marc and I worked so hard on this album . . . Marc, would you like to say something?" - to which Anthony coldly said, "No," and looked away.

One of the issues is that Lopez is said to be putting off pregnancy - he has four kids with two other women - and Anthony is very interested in Scientology. But a friend of both said, "They fight, sure, but everyone fights." A rep for Lopez said, "They're fine."

While on a visit to an unnamed destination in the capacity of a Goodwill Ambassador for the UNHCR, Angelina Jolie narrowly escaped being kidnapped!

The mommy-of-three, who became a Goodwill Ambassador back in 2001, has travelled to some of the most war-torn areas of the world raising awareness of the plight of refugees.

However, Angie was left reeling when she learned that gangsters were plotting to kidnap her and hold her for a multimillion dollar ransom.

In an exclusive interview with the British weekly News of the World, the actress-turned-humanitarian said, "It was in a small village. I won't say where, or with whom, but some gangsters planned to kidnap me and extort a massive ransom. I was warned at the last minute, and managed to escape, luckily."

But fear not - Angie insists that she's not about let one kidnap plot scare her away from the work she does for she wants to do her bit in lending a helping hand to underprivileged people.

"I don't want to act like the Mother Teresa of Hollywood," she said, "but I want to help where there is poverty and destruction."

As for how Brad Pitt copes with their trips, well, Angelina revealed that the couple solved their problems by working as a team.

"I love Brad very much and on our trips we pull together as a team," she said

The Oscar-winning actress does admit that things get tough when it affects the couple’s three kids – Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh – all of whom have been accompanying their parents on their trips to far-off places.

"Things only get difficult when it affects our children," she said.

"I have become more mature. I have learned to accept responsibility for myself, my children and my partner. Becoming a mum was the biggest change in my life, and it made me feel like a complete woman. At times in my life I was lost, without a purpose, now I'm more grounded."
